Warren County Public Library Board of Trustees names Alex Love as executive director

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Warren County Public Library Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of Alex Love as executive director of the Warren County Public Library, effective immediately.
According to the library, Love has served as WCPL’s interim director since January 2026 and will continue leading the organization’s operations, programs and strategic initiatives for the Bowling Green and Warren County community.
The library states Love has been a dedicated employee of WCPL for 26 years, beginning in 2000 as a student assistant. Over the course of his tenure, he has served in a variety of roles, including webmaster/assistant systems administrator, systems administrator/technology & facilities nanager, chief information officer/associate director and interim director. During his time as Interim Director, Love has shown outstanding leadership, stability, and a deep commitment to the mission and vision at WCPL.
Love is focused on maintaining the library’s strong foundation while supporting both patrons and staff in his new role, according to the library.
