Vehicle taxes have risen for some
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you head to the old courthouse to pay for your vehicle’s taxes, you might be in for a surprise.
Due to a major decline in supply, used vehicles prices have skyrocketed in some cases.
Many trucks and even some SUVs have appreciated in value, which is quite strange to see from a vehicle.
Due to their increase in value, your vehicle’s taxes may actually rise, some even up to 40%.
“The legislators are working to find a fix to this, a resolution, so it is important for people to know that this might be fixed, and hopefully it will be, before the end of January. But we don’t know for sure but we’re very hopeful,” said Susan Oliver Lewis with the property valuation administration.
