Multiple cars and buildings vandalized at apartment complex
Police search for apartment complex vandals
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Numerous acts of vandalism have been reported over the last few days at an apartment complex in Bowling Green.
The complex is offering a reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the damage.
Officials say multiple cars along with buildings and walls have been vandalized at Campus Pointe on Fields Drive.
At least four cars had their windshields smashed in.
The previous day, multiple breezeways were marked with black marker saying things such as “USA is a joke” and “Blood Gang.”
Obscene language and images were also drawn on cars and buildings.
The graffiti has been removed and measures are being put into place help prevent incidents such as these from happening again.
The apartment complex’s public relations manager Mark Evans said in an email to WNKY:
“Like everyone, we are shocked and disappointed to see this vandalism occurring at our property. We are working closely with the Bowling Green Police Department to identify and press charges against those responsible and are offering a reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.
“In the meantime, we have removed the graffiti and will continue to do so should any more appear. We also are in the process of putting in place additional measures to help prevent incidents such as these from happening again. We are happy to provide more information once these steps have been finalized.
“We want everyone to know this behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our community. We work hard to provide our residents with a place they enjoy calling home and are committed to doing everything we can to ensure their peace of mind.”
