Use caution navigating downtown square

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The City of Bowling Green is reminding the public of construction on the downtown Square.

Construction is going to continue heavily affecting State Street and surrounding areas.

Sidewalk, curb and gutter work is coming along, and the installation of the “guitar” paver system is starting in Morris Alley.

Officials are encouraging drivers to go slowly and use caution when driving in the downtown area.

Also, the signal at State Street and Park Row is not in use. Stop signs are up in place of the light for the time being.
Officials also want the public to be patient as the area is losing parking spaces during construction. When the construction is finished, there will be more parking than before.
