Update on dogs from camper cruelty case: seven still need loving homes!

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-The owner has been charged with fifteen counts of animal cruelty, according to officials.

Sadly, one more dog passed away due to medical reasons. But the good news is that two have been adopted into loving homes!

Four left for rescue in Tennessee, and seven are still available for adoption at the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society. They are overflowing with animals ready for adoption.

“Knowing that we can step in and help animals is a great feeling but we would be lying if we said we weren’t so overwhelmed. We’re still at max capacity and when you take in 15, 20, 25 dogs from a situation, it makes a full house even worse,” said BGWCHS Executive Director Lorri Hare.

Hare says the best thing you can do to prevent overpopulation is spay and neuter your pet.
