Units respond to house fire in Rockcastle County

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. – Units responded to a reported structure fire on Friday morning in Rockcastle County.

According to a social media post by the Brodhead Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 4:33 a.m. to aid a response for a reported working structure fire on Lovell Lane in Mount Vernon.

Firefighters say they worked alongside Mount Vernon Fire Department and Livingston Fire Department crews to bring the fire under control.

In addition, units were assisted by Rockcastle EMS, Mount Vernon Police Department, Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office and KU.

The department says teamwork in incidents like this is “critical to protection of lives and property.”
