U.S. 41 closure in southern Todd County delayed

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A temporary closure of U.S. 41 in Todd County is delayed.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Three, the closure was initially scheduled to begin this week on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Transportation officials say new dates for the closure have not yet been finalized.

The planned closure will impact U.S. 41 between U.S. 79 and KY 181 once it is implemented. News 40 will provide an update when a closure date is announced.

TODD COUNTY, Ky. – A portion of U.S. 41 will temporarily close in Todd County starting next week.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District Three, the project to widen U.S. 79 in southern Todd County near the Tennessee state line will cause a closure beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2.

U.S. 41 will close between U.S. 79 and KY 181 for around two weeks, according to transportation officials.

KYTC says a detour using KY 181 will be in place. Drivers should anticipate traffic and delays.
