Tyson Foods donates 40,000 pounds of protein to the Bowling Green community

Bowling Green, KY. – Saturday morning, Tyson Foods distributed 40,000 pounds of protein, the equivalent to 160,000 servings, to the Bowling Green community.

This is the second time Tyson Foods has donated this amount of protein to Bowling Green families.

Tyson is big on community impact and wants to be a positive force in whatever area they reside in. Ahead of their opening in October, Tyson Foods wants to continue showing this to the Bowling Green area.

Tyson Foods will open a 400,000 square foot bacon production facility later this year in Bowling Green’s Kentucky Transpark.

Makenzie Young, training manager for Tyson Foods, stated, “We plan events just to show the community that we care. Of course, we are new to the community here in Bowling Green, set to open start production in October. It’s an opportunity for us to welcome ourselves to the community, but it’s also an opportunity for us to give back to those families right in time for the summer months.”
