Tuesday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky
Governor Andy Beshear announced the largest number of new cases for a Tuesday with 1,786. The commonwealth has now seen 99,637 total cases since the start of the pandemic. The state’s positivity rate continues to rise, the rate is at 5.97 percent Tuesday.
18 Kentuckians died from the virus Tuesday, that brings the total number of lives lost here in Kentucky to 1,428.
The Barren River District Health department did not release the new number of cases on Monday, the added cases Tuesday represents those added over the weekend as well.
Even with these high case numbers around the area, there are no new deaths reported. The total remains at 152
