TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital implements proactive screening procedures for COVID-19
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Here in Kentucky, four people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
While none of those patients are in the eight-county Barren River Health District Area, one hospital is implementing proactive screening procedures at each entrance to the hospital.
At TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital, officials say patients and visitors will be directed to use either the Emergency Room entrance or the main entrance of the hospital where they will be screened for signs of illness before being admitted to patient care areas.
Screening personnel will ask questions about recent travel, fever and any respiratory symptoms.
If a patient has symptoms of illness, they will be asked to wear a “cover your cough” mask and then admitted to the patient care area for further assistance.
TriStar Greenview also requests any visitor experiencing a respiratory symptom or fever to postpone their visit.
