Toys for Tots and Santa deliver toys to 200 kids on Christmas

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- On Saturday morning, the Marine Toys for Tots of Southern Kentucky along with the Bowling Green Fire Department gave toys to over 200 children this morning in the Housing Authority.  A list is provided each year to the BGFD of families that request Christmas Assistance.  Toys for Tots filled the need.

Janel Doyle, organizer of Toys for Tots, said this would not be possible without toy donations in our community that begin in October and the wonderful volunteers that sorted and organized the toys for these children.

Along with the 200 children that received a bag of toys this morning, additional children received toys that ran to the firemen and the Marine Corps Leagues Sgt Claus!

“The birth of Jesus and children having a a Christmas to remember is what today is all about. Today was magical!” said Doyle.
