The Salvation Army of Bowling Green to get funding for new kitchen equipment

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It can take an army to care for thousands in need.
That’s exactly what The Salvation Army of Bowling Green aims to do – all with the help of a generous donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The Salvation Army says the donation Thursday will help it purchase new kitchen equipment. The nonprofit says its goal is to help feed over 75,000 people annually.
Captain Johnny Horton of The Salvation Army says the donation will allow them to further their mission of helping others.
If you would like to see the funds awarded yourself, the check presentation will take place Thursday, July 20 at 1 p.m. at The Salvation Army Center of Hope located at 400 West Main Ave. Members of the general public are invited to attend.
