The Riverview at Hobson Grove hosts free Christmas Marketplace & Candlelight Tours

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One historic Warren County home is ushering in winter holiday cheer today with its Christmas Marketplace.

The Riverview at Hobson Grove Historic House Museum opened its doors to some of SOKY’s favorite vendors, allowing folks to tour and Christmas shop all in one stop.

Many have stopped by the Hobson House Wednesday to check out locally-made holiday jewelry, books, décor, and homemade goodies.

The Riverview at Hobson Grove Executive Director, Brooke Westcott Peterson said, “Being able to look at the antiques and see the way that people decorated 150 years ago, it’s really special for families to come through here to hear the conversations that spark with the children and all of their questions.”

Though the one-day-only Christmas Marketplace will close its doors at 6 p.m. Wednesday night, the historic home will continue its Victorian Christmas traditions next weekend.

Next Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. you can hop onto Bowling Green’s trolley for a shuttle to the mansion’s Christmas Candlelight Tours.
