The Center for Courageous Kids’ Bourbon Raffle returns

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Center for Courageous Kids announced its fifth annual Bourbon Raffle on Monday, giving participants a chance to win one of 15 prize packages valued at over $ 41,000 while funding camp experiences for children with lifelong illnesses and disabilities.

The CCK is selling 1,000 tickets for $100 each. Each ticket is entered into all 15 drawings until a winner is picked, giving participants multiple chances to win rare bourbon antiques. Renowned bourbon collector Curt Rafferty, a longtime supporter of the CCK, selected the prize collection.

The top three prizes include a six-bottle Pappy collection valued at almost $11,000, a 1992 decanter commemorating the 1968 Chevrolet and a complete Buffalo Trace Antique Collection valued at almost $9,000. The remaining 12 prize packages feature bottles from Blanton’s, William Heaven Hill, E.H. Taylor and other sought-after brands.

Proceeds from the raffle help fund the CCK’s free, week-long summer sessions, which welcome up to 128 campers each week.

Darren Dannelly, president and CEO of the CCK, says the tickets help their children “experience the magic of camp.”

“While these rare bourbon bottles are exciting prizes for collectors, the true reward is knowing each ticket helps give children the opportunity to laugh, explore, build friendships and simply be kids in a place created just for them,” said Dannelly.

Campers participate in activities such as horseback riding, fishing, swimming, arts and crafts and archery, while making friendships in a supportive community.

CCK also hosts fall and spring weekend retreats, giving families the opportunity to relax with others of similar experiences.

Tickets are available at CourageousKids.org/raffle. The raffle is open to individuals age 21 and older. Winners will be announced when ticket sales close at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, during CCK’s Stars and 6 Strings event.
