Speaker of the State House David Osborne visits Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – State representative and speaker of the House David Osborne visited Bowling Green Monday for a media conference at the Augenstein Alumni Center at Western Kentucky University this afternoon.

Representatives Michael Meredith and Steve Sheldon also attended.

Osborne talked about multiple issues including the 2021 budget, schools reopening and methods of voting in the general election.

According to Osborne, the Secretary of State will likely make his recommendations on how voting will look in the general election within the next few days.

Osborne supports continuing to provide relief to schools and wants each district to be handled using a personal approach depending upon the school districts.

Osborne said Frankfort is working on the 2021 budget and the unemployment claims problems. Many people have reported being unable to access unemployment benefits.
