Sheriff’s office may get body cameras soon

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A renewed discussion about purchasing body cameras for Warren County Sheriff’s deputies has started again in light of everything happening in the country.

It was a topic at Friday morning’s Warren County Fiscal Court meeting.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower is currently getting quotes to purchase the cameras and storage space for video for all 45 deputies.

Cameras can cost upwards of $300,000 for the entire department.

Hightower believes the cameras are worth every penny.

All Bowling Green Police officers already utilize body cams.
