Sen. Rand Paul reflects on January 6th riots anniversary

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- It’s been nearly one year since the anniversary of the January 6th Capitol riots. News 40 asked Senator Rand Paul what it’s like at the Capitol a year after the violence. 

The Senator was in Washington on January 6th last year. 

Paul said no one in Kentucky has talked much about the riots, but it’s a different case in Washington. Things have drastically changed, mainly the security. 

“It’s sad that the Capitol grounds were surrounded with razor wire for months, there’s still no tours, I’ll try to take Kentuckians on tours when they come up here,” said Paul.
