Sen. Rand Paul meets with Scottsville residents, explains debate decision

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.-Senator Rand Paul made an appearance in Scottsville this morning.

He met with Scottsville residents at Solid Grounds Coffee off of the Scottsville Square.

He talked about a number of issues important to his campaign, including Covid and health matters, inflation and gender issues in sports.

He faces off against democrat Charles Booker in the November election. Senator Paul did not respond to an invitation from KET to debate Booker this week…saying Booker’s ads including the neighbor attack on Senator Paul encouraged violence.

“We made the decision that people who advocate for violence really, it’s not a good idea to elevate them to any type of discussion,” said Paul.

Sen. Paul also says he does not plan on endorsing any of the candidates for Governor at this time.
