Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman also praised the students’ hard work and emphasized the importance of strong support systems to help students succeed and grow as leaders.
“It really does take a village. And that’s what leader and me to just young people, that leading means that it’s not just about you. It’s about helping others. And in doing that, that’s how you become a leader. And that was evident today. It was on full display. And this also spans generations. You know, the very first principal of Rock Hill was here today. And I just think that that speaks volumes, not just about the award today, but about the tradition that Rockfield Elementary has really embraced.” Coleman said.
