Road closure to impact travel to Dale Hollow Lake

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Barren County Emergency Management is alerting travelers of a road closure.

According to a social media post, KY-90 is closed due to a washed-out section of roadway.

BCEM says travelers who drive through Burkesville will need to find an alternative route to Dale Hollow Lake.

Recommended detours include:

Cumberland Parkway to Exit 46 in Adair County

Turn right onto KY-61 (Burkesville Road)

Continue into Burkesville and onto the normal route to Dale Hollow Lake

BCEM recommends earlier departure times to account for longer travel and safety.
