Ribbon cutting for Morgantown Bank & Trust new main office

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – On Tuesday, Morgantown Bank & Trust celebrated the opening of its new main office with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The building officially opened March 24, but Tuesday marked the bank’s celebration with the community.
“It’s been a really fun project. It’s been the talk of local restaurants and barber shops … people asking what we’ve been working on,” said Jason Jones, president and CEO of Morgantown Bank & Trust. “To bring that kind of life and energy to Morgantown while also positioning us to grow for years to come is something we’re proud of.”
Construction on the new main office began more than a year ago, though organizers say the project has been in the works for nearly a decade.
Now that it’s complete, leaders say the goal is to reaffirm the bank’s commitment to the community.
“We wanted to emphasize that Morgantown Bank is Morgantown, and we’re here to stay,” said former CEO Tom Jones. “Our roots are here, and we’re committed to being part of this community.”
Jason Jones says that commitment goes beyond the new building.
“It’s more than just making loans, taking deposits and cashing checks,” he said. “We’re truly part of the community. Our employees take pride in being involved and showing care for the people we serve.”
