Pulaski County man arrested after meth found in graham cracker box

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. – A Pulaski County man is behind bars after authorities say they found methamphetamine in what appeared to be a graham cracker box.

According to Sheriff Bobby Jones with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 41-year-old Joshua Denney of Bronston on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, 2 grams or greater of methamphetamine, first offense, along with other offenses on Wednesday.

Authorities say the arrest resulted from a traffic stop after a vehicle was speeding on Highway 70 in Pulaski County.

Following the stop, deputies say they deployed K-9 Rocky, leading to a positive alert to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle.

Authorities say upon searching the vehicle, they located what appeared to be an ordinary box of graham crackers. However, deputies say the box instead contained nearly a pound of methamphetamine.

Denney additionally faces charges of speeding 10 miles per hour over the speed limit and careless driving.

He remains at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
