Pulaski County man arrested after allegedly strangling juvenile

SOMERSET, Ky. – A Pulaski County man is facing child abuse charges.
According to a social media post, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was contacted following an alleged assault of a juvenile victim.
Sheriff Bobby Jones says information collected during the preliminary investigation indicated that the juvenile victim had been strangled during an assault incident.
32-year-old Tim Wood, of Somerset, was arrested as a result of the investigation. He was lodged at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Wood is charged with first-degree strangulation and first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 years of age.
The investigation is ongoing.
