Prepare for heavy traffic Saturday and Sunday
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The roads will be busy over the weekend as travelers return home from their holiday festivities.
The Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving are traditionally one of the most heavily traveled weekends of the year and Kentucky State Police want everyone to arrive home safely.
Unfortunately, the days leading up to and after Thanksgiving are some of the deadliest of the entire year.
Traffic will likely be heavier on the interstate, so police said plan your time accordingly.
Officials are reminding the public to mind the speed limit, put your phone down, buckle up and drive safely, especially with the rain coming over the weekend.
KSP also encourages everyone on Kentucky’s roadways to stay safe and sober this weekend.
