Poor People’s Campaign protests McConnell
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A group spending part of their afternoon protesting a Kentucky official at his office in Bowling Green, Monday.
The Poor People’s Campaign organized a protest caravan of cars with drivers that drove slowly around downtown starting at Circus Square Park and ending at Senator Mitch McConnell’s office.
The participants held signs, waved flags, honked their horns and screamed “Ditch Mitch. Let the people decide.”
A parade of around 15 cars stopped by McConnell’s office and got out to protest.
The goal of the caravan is a national moral revival, according to one of the committee’s members Michael Gramling.
Other caravans were organized around the state at McConnell’s other offices and at his Washington D.C. office as well.
