Police: 2 lbs of marijuana discovered during traffic stop in Hart County

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky.- A Michigan man is behind bars after police say he was driving with nearly 2 lbs of marijuana in his vehicle.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 66 on I-65 just before 4 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers say Jeff West, 52, of Rapid City, Michigan was behind the wheel.

During their investigation, troopers say they discovered the marijuana, marijuana edibles, marijuana liquid extract, drug paraphernalia and cash.

West was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, drug possession and other miscellaneous traffic offenses.

He is lodged in the Hart County Jail.
