HISEVILLE, Ky. (WNKY) — Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop has been named a 2026 Best of Kentucky Award winner, according to a news release from the company.

The family-owned business began in downtown Hiseville in 1960. The release says the late Clyde and Helen Phillips founded the store, which has since expanded to include grocery locations in Hiseville and Greensburg and a butcher shop in Glasgow.

The stores sell fresh meat, produce, frozen foods, household items and other grocery products. They also carry Kentucky Proud products and milk from Legacy Dairy in Hiseville.

The release says meat is cut and prepared daily by butchers at the stores. Associated Wholesale Grocers of Nashville serves as the company’s primary supplier.

“This award means a great deal to our family and our team because it reflects the trust our customers place in us every day,” co-owner Trevor Phillips said in the release. “Our slogan, ‘Always Fresh. Always Local. Always Family.’ is more than something we say. It is how we try to serve every person who walks through our doors.”

Phillips Family Grocery & Butcher Shop operates at 67 E. Main St. in Hiseville and 114 S. First St. in Greensburg. Its Glasgow butcher shop is located at 106 Shane Drive.
