Person of interest in child rape case may be in southern Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A person of interest in a Tennessee rape case involving a child may be somewhere in south central Kentucky.

The Sumner County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding Jeffrey Morris, 47.

Authorities learned of the rape allegations on August 15. Since then, they have been unable to locate Morris.

A probable cause warrant for rape of a child has been issued.

Investigators say Morris lives in Westmoreland, Tennessee but could be somewhere in southern Kentucky.
