One person dead following crash in Edmonson County
BEE SPRINGS, Ky. – A Louisville woman was killed Monday afternoon in a collision in Edmonson County.
According to Kentucky State Police, one person has died following a two-vehicle collision in Edmonson County.
The incident occurred in the 10,000 block of Ky. 259 near Bee Spring Lumber.
Preliminary investigation revealed Julia E. Broderick, 46, of Louisville, was operating a 2007 Honda Accord southbound on Ky. 259 North in the Bee Spring community, according to a release from KSP.
Broderick’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2012 GMC truck, being operated by Stanley K. Bragg, 54, of Smiths Grove, who was northbound, according to the release. Broderick was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Edmonson County Coroner’s Office.
Bragg and a passenger in his vehicle, 75 year-old Stanley V. Bragg, were transported to Bowling Green Medical Center by Edmonson County EMS and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
