NWS survey team reports preliminary EF-2 tornado in Grayson County

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – A preliminary EF-2 tornado reportedly hit Grayson County Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service Survey Team on Wednesday.

The NWS Survey Team says southeast Grayson County suffered damage from an EF-2 tornado with wind speeds of at least 115 miles per hour.

According to the NWS, the preliminary tornado hit just east of the Wax community.

In addition, the NWS confirms tornado damage was present in Hart and Metcalfe counties.

The rest of the survey is ongoing.
