NWS Louisville preliminary results show EF-1 in Ohio County

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. – The National Weather Service Louisville says preliminary results show an EF-1 tornado struck Ohio County overnight.

According to a social media post by NWS Louisville, the tornado occurred to the northeast of Hartford, Kentucky.

NWS Louisville says the maximum wind speed was 100 miles per hour.

The NWS Louisville is sharing updates as damage surveys take place Tuesday. This follows overnight storms that caused damage across Kentucky.
