National Library Week: Warren County Public Library serves local community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week is National Library Week to remember what the library brings to our local community.

Last night, the Warren County Library hosted a screening of the movie Clue at the Capitol Arts Center, down in the Fountain Square Park.

They’ve been hosting screenings and concerts at the Capitol for two years now.

In previous years, they showed the movies, Hocus Pocus, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and More Big Block Busters, so go support the Local Library and catch a flick at the same time.

“Also, making sure we serve folks in new and unique ways, you can check out seeds from the library, you can check out sewing machines, cake pans in fun and different shapes,” said Laura Beth Fox-Ezell, Youth Service Manager at Warren County Public Library. “If you would like to try baking something new at home, you can come to the library and make pottery, you can come to the library to make t-shirts and buttons. You can also carry the library with you on your phone through audiobooks and through streaming services.”

Upcoming events at the Capitol will be a concert, “Raising the Rafters” to help support local food pantries.
