BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While the Nashville Predators and Arizona Coyotes battle it out in the Qualifying Round of the NHL Playoffs next month, the two teams will be joining forces off the ice to benefit a worthy cause.

Earlier today, the Preds and Coyotes announced that they will be hosting a joint blood drive from Tuesday, August 4th through Friday, August 7th to help aid the severe blood shortage that the American Red Cross has seen from coronavirus-related cancellations.

Over the four day period, the Predators Foundation and American Red Cross will conduct a total of 29 drives in 20 different cities, including one right here in South Central Kentucky.

The team will put on a blood drive at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Bowling Green from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.on Wednesday, August 5th and Friday, August 7th.

Presenting donors who make an appointment online will receive a Preds t-shirt and be entered in a drawing for a $100 Nashville Locker Room gift card (one winner per location). The American Red Cross will test all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies as an additional health screening service to donors.

All information and registration can be accessed at RedCrossBlood.org using the Sponsor Code “PREDS19.” More information on the Coyotes’ drive with Vitalant at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. will be released soon.
