Multiple collisions close portion of I-75 northbound

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police says it has responded Monday to multiple wrecks on Interstate 75 northbound near the 62-mile marker.

As of 2:30 p.m. CST, Trooper Scottie Pennington, public affairs officer for KSP Post 11, says the interstate will be shut down for an extended period.

Pennington says northbound travelers are encouraged to use exit 59 and follow U.S. 25.
