Morgantown cuts ribbon on upgraded City Hall
MORGANTOWN, Ky. – The city of Morgantown reopened its City Hall with a new look Friday morning.
Now, the building is up to code and handicap accessible.
The building has a ramp out front along with an elevator inside, hallways have been widened and old wallpaper and other decorations have been changed out with a new, more modern look.
The mayor also unveiled a clock that sits outside of City Hall.
The renovations, a long time coming, are only a small part of all the changes the city has been making.
Today’s event also featured the sealing of a time capsule.
Locals put letters and other items into it.
The time capsule will be opened in 20 years.
