LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says a missing juvenile is home safe.

According to the sheriff’s office, authorities first received a report of a missing juvenile at about 9:09 a.m. Monday morning from the area of Homer Inscoe Road.

Deputies say the juvenile had left a note stating she was leaving to stay with friends.

The sheriff’s office states the assigned investigator immediately followed up on leads, eventually obtaining information leading to the juvenile’s location in a neighboring county.

Authorities say due to all parties involved being minors, identities and specific locations are being withheld.

According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy located the missing juvenile around 1:30 p.m. and safely returned her to her parents.

Sheriff Stephen Stratton commended Deputy Grayson’s efforts, stating, “Cases involving missing juveniles are always a priority. Thanks to the quick response and investigative work by Deputy Grayson, this juvenile was located safely and returned home within a few hours.”
