BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) —  Medical Center EMS has received two American Heart Association awards recognizing their care for patients experiencing heart attacks and strokes.

According to a release from Med Center Health, the agency earned the Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Achievement Award and the Stroke Honor Roll Achievement Award for providing rapid, research-based emergency care.

“This recognition validates the extensive training and focus our team invests in every day to minimize the time it takes to care for those who have suffered a heart attack or stroke,” said Scott Ford, Paramedic and Field Supervisor with Medical Center EMS.

Mission: Lifeline EMS is a national American Heart Association program aimed at improving outcomes for patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies, including heart attacks and strokes. The program recognizes EMS agencies that meet standards for rapid assessment, treatment and coordination with hospitals.
