Man flown for treatment after I-24 crash

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKDZ) – One man has been flown for treatment after a reported crash in Christian County Friday.
According to a report by WKDZ, the crash occurred on Interstate 24 and involved two tractor-trailers, with one driver injured.
WKDZ states Christian County first responders stated that at 12:29 p.m., the two tractor-trailers collided while traveling eastbound, resulting in one driver being trapped.
According to WKDZ, Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Capt. Payton Rogers said the driver was removed from his vehicle by Christian County Rescue before being transported by Hopkinsville EMS to a helicopter to reach a Nashville hospital due to “severe leg and hip injuries.”
WKDZ reports the crash caused the eastbound and westbound lanes to shut down.
