Logan County man to be honored during Coca-Cola 600

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – This weekend a local man will be honored during the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600.

Logan county’s Patriot Cpl. Josh Moore will have his name on Cole Custer’s windshield as part of the NASCAR salutes program. A fallen soldier’s name is placed on the windshield instead of the driver’s name for the annual memorial day weekend race.

Cpl. Moore was assigned to the 1st battalion, 18th infantry regiment, 2nd brigade combat team, 1st infantry division, Schweinfurt, Germany. He died at age 20 on May 30, 2007, in Baghdad of wounds sustained when the vehicle he was in struck an improvised explosive device.
