Logan County judge-executive lifts burn ban

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – Judge-Executive Phil Baker issued an executive order Thursday afternoon to immediately lift a burn ban ordered last month.
The executive order states, “Due to improved weather conditions and upon recommendation of the Kentucky Division of Forestry, the ban on outdoor burning in Logan County is hereby lifted, effective Thursday, October 15 at 12:00 p.m.”
Open burning remains prohibited within 150 feet of the woods between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to the Kentucky Division of Forestry.
The burn ban was originally issued on Sept. 3 because wildfire risk increased and conditions were dry.
