Locals celebrate Bosnian Independence Day
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — On Sunday, the Bosnian American Association celebrated 30 years of independence at La Gala.
It was the first time in city and organization history that the occasion was celebrated in Bowling Green.
The event focused on highlighting Bosnia’s history while looking ahead to its future.
Several speakers spoke on a panel, including a United Nations representative and members of the Bosniak Congress.
The community plans on celebrating their independence locally every year.
