Local sheriff’s office working an online child predator case

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Child predators are a huge concern for many parents because of  children’s access to social media.

Currently, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office is working a case involving an online child predator.

The details of the offense have not yet been released.

A former police officer and founder of Cyber Safe Teen of Bowling Green, Michael Lemon, gave tips to help keep your child safe from predators online.

He says, knowing which apps your child uses, having open communication and teaching children not to talk to strangers online are essential first steps to cyber safety.
