Local law enforcement in need of more officers
CAVE CITY, Ky. – Many law enforcement agencies across the state and the country are struggling to find enough officers.
The city council in Cave City is discussing a need to hire an additional law enforcement officer.
As WNKY reported Tuesday, the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office is in need of a bigger budget to hire more personal.
The Cave City Chief of Police says the need is there but figuring out whether the funds are available is the next step.
He also says having two officers on patrol at a time is much safer than only one.
The Bowling Green Police Department is currently hiring and will be holding a Recruitment Open House Tuesday, January 21 from 5:30 to 8.
