Local bar announces it will not reopen after COVID-19 crisis

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After closing for the coronavirus, the owners of a local bar have announced it will not be reopening. Shots, which billed itself as Bowling Green’s smallest bar, was planning a reopening based on guidance from government officials.

But in a post on Facebook, the owners felt given the safety requirements for reopening, along with the financial challenges surrounding businesses during the COVID-19 crisis, opening their doors was not the prudent thing to do.

The spot won’t be vacant for long…The owners of Dublin’s bar plan to open in Shots’ space.

Shots’ owners haven’t ruled out opening in a new location in the future, possibly in Louisville. Earlier this week, White Squirrel Brewery announced they would not be reopening.
