Live Christmas tree sales have begun

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local tree farms are beginning to sell live trees.

COVID has impacted local tree salespeople, both negatively and positively, according to a local business owner, Morgan Burk.

Morgan is a 17-year-old and attends the Gatton Academy.

She has been running her business for a few years now with the help of her family.

Morgan says she expects sales to be about the same as last year because, while some people are struggling financially this year, many people are using holiday decorations and cheer to cope with the hardships the virus has brought forth.

Local fire departments recommend you have your live Christmas trees dipped in fire retardant. Also it is important to keep live trees well watered.
