Lil Toppers hit the court for camp with WKU women’s basketball

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week on the Hill, the next generation of basketball players are taking some lessons from the Lady Tops.
It’s that time of the year for the annual Greg Collins Lil Topper Basketball Camp.
For three days inside Diddle Arena, familiar faces from WKU women’s basketball provide campers the opportunity to learn some basic skills on the court such as passing, shooting, ball handling and defense.
The players also teach the importance of teamwork and never giving up.
For the returners on the team, its special to be involved with the community and even more special to make connections with the campers who keep coming back.
“ My favorite part of youth camp is getting it to be here a second year and all the campers being super excited to come back,” junior Trinity Rowe said. “Having the relationships with the kids, especially when you remember their names, it just makes their whole day, and I absolutely love it. Getting to share my love for basketball with them just it means the world to me.”
