Law enforcement investigates suspicious activity at 2 Russellville schools

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Law enforcement investigated a suspicious activity complaint at two schools in Russellville on Thursday afternoon.

According to a social media post by Russellville Middle School, Russellville Independent Schools adjusted the afternoon dismissal at Russellville High School and Middle School following a report of suspicious activity.

RIS says outdoor activities were moved indoors.

Law enforcement monitored the area around RHS and cleared the area following the investigation.

RIS says there was no immediate threat to staff and students.

Students were dismissed on the normal schedule, according to the post.
