KYTC bridge replacement project set to begin in Grayson County

GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin work on a bridge replacement project next week.
According to KYTC, temporary measures were taken two weeks ago to “keep traffic moving” on the KY 79 bridge over the Rough River Lake spillway.
KYTC says crews will begin rebuilding the bridge on June 1.
Hall Contracting was awarded a $2.54 million contract on April 7.
The bridge is expected to be completed by November 30, according to KYTC.
Officials say wide loads will be limited to a width of 10 feet from June 1 through November 30.
Traffic pattern changes should be expected.
