KSP investigating inmate death at McCracken County Jail

PADUCAH, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of an inmate at the McCracken County Jail.
According to a release, jail staff contacted KSP after discovering an unresponsive inmate. The inmate was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The inmate was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
KSP Investigators say that inmate Michael Sackatook, 29, of Paducah, was housed in an isolation cell under constant surveillance.
Investigators reviewed footage and do not suspect foul play.
An autopsy revealed Sackatook experienced medical complications on May 28, according to KSP.
The investigation is ongoing.
