Kindness for Christmas serves hot meals to public

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Saturday afternoon, the Kentucky Veteran’s Brigade and American Legion Post 23 put together a Christmas event for more than just veterans.

From 1-4 p.m. at 208 Dishman Lane, the organizations served fresh, hot meals of ham, mashed potatoes, corn, desserts and more to anyone in the community.

Toys were also given out to families and nearly 1,000 meals were served. The purpose of the event was to provide joy to people who may not be able to spend Christmas with their family.
